The Mak run 2024 has raised a whopping sum if UGX 60 million which will facilitate the disability support unit at Makerere University.


The Makerere Endowment Fund appreciated everyone that contributed to the run. The fund said the funds will be appropriated by the dean of students for purposes of accountability.


Thousands of students and staff participated in this year's Mak Run which centred on the theme; Run for students with disabilities.


The run was headlined by musician Navio whose mother, Dr. Maggie Kigozi, heads the Endowment Fund.


The funds raised will see to it that students with special needs have better access to academic and other services.



The Mak run 2024 was the first of its kind since the outbreak of COVID-19. The run is an annual event aimed at soliciting funds to support university projects.
