University Hall (Goats) beat Mitchell Hall (Rats) in a double clash in a prestigious battle for rank and respect.
In the first clash, the goats beat the Rats in the inter-hall league to top the league's table. The goats emerged winners with a score of one to zero.
The defeat in the competition did not sit well with the rats who decided to settle the matter off pitch resulting into a scuffle between the two halls. The two clashed as the rats blocked goats from accessing the route to their hall.
The goats eventually managed to make their way after a short-lived exchange of blows.
Following the class, the inter-hall competitions were temporarily suspended. The suspension was announced by the chairperson games union Hon. Wakayiya Lenard.
After investigations, the suspension was lifted by the head of sports department Ms. Peninnah Kabenge.
Ms. Kabenge faulted Mitchell hall for taking the law into their hands. She said Mitchell was deemed guilty of contravening the inter-hall rules and regulations.
Mitchell hall was disqualified from the inter-hall competitions for the year 2024.
