Makerere University students have joined the growing nationwide campaign to promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility following the Government’s National Cleaning Days initiative.
The initiative, announced by Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, calls upon Ugandans to dedicate the last Saturday of every month to cleaning their surroundings, including schools, roads, drainage channels and other public spaces.
At Makerere University, students have demonstrated their commitment to the campaign by taking part in cleaning activities around the university and nearby student communities. Their participation highlights the important role young people can play in promoting a clean and healthy environment.
