91st guild leaders underwent training on HIV/AIDs prevention and treatment on Thursday, July 10th, 2025 during an HIV awareness campaign held at the School of Pharmacy auditorium.

On July4th, 2025, Makerere University, through the students guild, has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding with DFCU bank.

The Office of the Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released the undergraduate admission lists for self-sponsored students for the Academic Year 2025/2026.

The winning team, that included Shalom Nyirimana Ishimwe (Team Captain), Sasha Achola, and Akankunda Rhinah, all from Makerere University, was awarded a summer 2026 global internship facilitated by CIEE and the opportunity to share their solution with UNHCR and its international partners.

During the burial ceremony, the Guild President urged family members to continue with the works that the deceased had started in order to honour his legacy. The burial was attended by different dignitaries including the deputy speaker of parliament Hon. Thomas Tayebwa.

The 2nd Frank Kalimuzo public lecture featured a conservation between Prof. Moses Muhwezi and Esther Kalimuzo that was moderated by Mrs. Allen Kagina. The Lecture was held under the theme; building a culture of service in public institutions- the late Frank Kalimuzo as an example.
